I was recommended this one and was glad I watched it recently. A good film, simple story and not the best special effects in the world but well worth a watch.  The Story : Joshua is a former U.S. military official who fled to the Foreign Legion when his wife Maria was killed by Muslim fundamentalists in Paris, and now he’s a mercenary, fighting in the Yugoslav war on the Serbian side against Muslims. I’m not sure I fully understand the Bosnia conflict but the film had me in tears at the end and with the baby scene after the shootings.

If you haven’t seen it, go check it out. My favourite scene is where after the death of his family (a bomb by muslim extremists) he walks in to the nearest mosque and just blows everyone away! I’m not saying it’s the solution to the worlds problems or it was a fair justice but it certainly stuck in my mind.

Memorable film quotes

Sorry about your family.

It’s war.
